Welcome to India

Your journey begins in Delhi, where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.

Take the remainder of the day to settle in and relax after your journey. This first evening is intentionally unhurried, giving you time to rest before the journey continues towards the forests of Madhya Pradesh.

DELHI → JABALPUR → BANDHAVGARH

From the City to the Wild

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight from Delhi to Jabalpur. From Jabalpur, the journey continues by road towards Bandhavgarh, taking you gradually away from the bustle of the city and into the rural landscapes of Madhya Pradesh.

As the landscape changes, you enter the world of central India's forests and arrive at Bagh Tola, your home for the next six nights.

After the day's journey, settle into camp and begin to experience the slower rhythm of life in the wilderness.

BANDHAVGARH

Four Days in the Forest

The next four days are dedicated to exploring Bandhavgarh, with Morning and Evening Game Drives each day.

As the days unfold, discover the many layers of this remarkable landscape — from sal forests and open meadows to rocky outcrops and waterholes, each creating a different setting for the wildlife that calls Bandhavgarh home.

No two drives are ever quite the same. The experience is shaped by the season, the weather, the changing light and, most importantly, what is happening in the forest around you. Fresh tracks, alarm calls, birdsong or movement in the undergrowth can all lead you somewhere unexpected.

With an experienced guiding team, there is time to slow down and look beyond the obvious — observing animal behaviour, understanding the subtle signs of the forest and making the most of the photographic opportunities that present themselves.

The changing light also brings a different character to each drive. The cool, atmospheric hours of the morning give way to the warmer tones of afternoon and evening, when the forest begins to stir once again.

Across these four days, the aim is not simply to collect sightings, but to become immersed in the rhythm of the wilderness and experience Bandhavgarh as a complete ecosystem.

Day 7
BANDHAVGARH

A Full Day in the Wild

Today offers a different kind of safari experience with a Full-Day Game Drive into Bandhavgarh.

Rather than returning to camp between drives, spend the day exploring the forest with a picnic lunch, allowing more time for the landscape to unfold at its own pace.

A full-day drive gives you the opportunity to travel further, spend longer in areas that capture your interest and experience the forest as it changes from the cool hours of morning through the warmth of the afternoon and into the softer light of evening.

There is no need to rush. Time becomes the luxury.

Day 8
BANDHAVGARH → JABALPUR → DELHI

From the Wilderness Back to the City

After your time in Bandhavgarh, bid farewell to Bagh Tola and begin the road journey to Jabalpur.

From Jabalpur, board your flight to Delhi, where you will be transferred to Roseate House for your final night.

After several days immersed in the forest, the evening offers time to relax and reflect on the experiences of your journey.

After checking out of Roseate House, transfer to Delhi International Airport for your onward journey.

Your Magical Bandhavgarh expedition comes to an end, taking with you the memories of the forest — its wildlife, landscapes, changing light and the unexpected moments that make every journey into the wild unique.

  • 2 nights at Roseate House, New Delhi, on a bed and breakfast basis.
  • 6 nights at Bagh Tola, Bandhavgarh, on a full-board basis.
  • Tea and coffee service, domestic alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at Bagh Tola, as specified by the camp.
  • Laundry service at Bagh Tola, as per the camp's available laundry list.
  • Internal flights between New Delhi and Jabalpur, and Jabalpur and New Delhi.
  • All Morning, Evening and Full-Day Game Drives specified in the itinerary.
  • All airport and surface transfers specified in the itinerary.

  • International flights and visas.
  • Comprehensive travel and trip cancellation insurance.
  • Tips and gratuities.
  • Personal expenses, including premium spirits and any other items or services not specifically mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Excess baggage charges on internal flights. These are payable directly to the airline at check-in.
  • Anything not specifically listed under Inclusions.
Payment Terms
  • A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the expedition.
  • The remaining 75% balance is payable 120 days prior to your date of arrival.
  • Your booking is considered confirmed once the required deposit has been received.
Notes
  • Wilderness Uncut reserves the right to amend tour pricing in the event of fluctuations in exchange rates, changes to park fee structures or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
  • Extensions to other National Parks in India, as well as cultural extensions to the Taj Mahal, Khajuraho and other places of interest, can be arranged on request.
  • A valid passport copy is required at the time of booking to secure safari permits.
  • Safari permits for the parks of Central India open 120 days in advance and are subject to availability at the time of booking.
  • Parks remain closed on Wednesday evenings
  • We strongly recommend that all travellers have adequate travel and trip cancellation insurance.
