Chisa Busanga Camp
Welcome to a camp inspired by one of nature’s most remarkable creations. Set on a secluded island in the heart of the Busanga Plains, Chisa Busanga Camp was conceived by Green Safaris founder Vincent, together with Dutch architect Bert Meerstadt, after a chance encounter with a beautifully crafted weaver bird’s nest. In that moment, the vision for the camp became clear – a collection of elevated nest-like structures that celebrate the ingenuity and artistry found in the natural world.
Designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, the camp offers a truly distinctive safari experience, with each unique structure providing a sanctuary from which to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the plains. Inspired by the craftsmanship of weaver birds, these extraordinary spaces invite guests to reflect on the wonder of nature while enjoying comfort, privacy and uninterrupted views across one of Zambia’s most spectacular wilderness areas.
Where Silence Meets the Wild
Tented Nests
Chisa Busanga Camp offers five elevated Tented Nests, set four metres above the Busanga Plains to provide sweeping, uninterrupted views across the vast floodplains. Each Nest is designed as a private retreat, featuring spacious interiors, an en-suite bathroom and thoughtful comforts, all seamlessly integrated into the surrounding wilderness.
One Nest is fully accessible with lift access and is conveniently positioned near the main area for guests with mobility requirements. The camp’s shared spaces and plunge pool overlook the plains, offering a serene setting from which to take in the ever-changing light and wildlife of this remarkable landscape.
