Overlooking the meandering Banjaar River lies the Flame of the Forest, a splendid earthy lodge in the vicinity of Kanha Tiger Reserve in India. The lodge is named after the Flame of the Forest tree, known for its striking scarlet flowers that are a prominent feature of the Flame of the Forest Safari Lodge.
Four luxury mud cottages, built in local style, feature both indoor and outdoor showers, as well as a verandah—ideal for spending a languorous afternoon soaking in the vistas.
Wildlife at The Flame
Skewered grasslands interspersed with various tree species augur well for mammals like the Jungle Cat and Gaur, as well as several bird species such as the Spotted Owlet and Common Iora , among others, within the Flame Safari Lodge.

Spot tigers on 4×4 jeep safaris in Kanha National Park, take a walk on the Banjaar river bed, or enjoy a private yoga class at the Flame of the Forest Safari Lodge.
