The journey begins at The Imperial New Delhi, a heritage hotel set across eight acres housing more than 5,000 original artworks from the 17th and 18th centuries. The colonial architecture and timeless interiors at The Imperial perfectly captures the spirit of early New Delhi.

The journey then continues to Bandhavgarh National Park, a premier tiger reserve renowned for having one of the highest densities of Bengal tigers in the world. Once the private hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Rewa, Bandhavgarh is defined by rugged hill ranges, forested valleys, and wide grasslands. Sal forests blanket the valleys and lower slopes, gradually giving way to mixed deciduous woodland in the drier, higher regions. This rich mix of terrain and vegetation creates ideal conditions for a thriving population of prey species, and the predators that depend on them.

The Bengal Tiger

Bandhavgarh is among the most important habitats for the Bengal tiger and is known for having the highest tiger density in the world. Decades of close study have seen individual tigers identified and tracked across generations, offering rare insight into movement, territorial behaviour, and population patterns. Today, dominant males such as Mahaman, Bajrang, D1, and Chota Bheem hold established territories across different zones of the park.

Wildlife and Habitat Diversity

Beyond tigers, Bandhavgarh supports a rich range of wildlife. Mammals include leopards, wolves, hyenas, wild dogs (dhole), Indian gaur, and sloth bears. Herbivores such as chital, sambar, and barking deer are commonly seen in forest clearings and grasslands. An interconnected mix of forests, meadows, water bodies, and undisturbed corridors allows these species to thrive within a stable ecosystem. With over 250 bird species, the park is also a strong year-round destination for birdlife.

Luxury in the Wilderness

The journey balances immersive wildlife experiences with understated comfort. In Bandhavgarh, Bagh Tola sits within a private reserve on the edge of the national park, surrounded by forest and centred around a natural waterhole that attracts wildlife. Elevated tented suites offer privacy, space, and open views of the landscape. In Delhi, The Imperial anchors the journey with heritage luxury rooted in art, architecture, and scale.
